Our Story

Jules & Gems Atelier is founded on the belief that objects carry stories.
Through form, ritual, and artistic expression, the Atelier explores the ways objects reflect how we build, believe, remember, and understand ourselves.
Our collections move between architectural form, nature and esoteric tradition, and the deeply personal narratives of artists whose work gives material expression to lived experience.
The Atelier serves as curator, archivist, and conduit—preserving the context surrounding significant works while connecting them with their natural collectors.
Architectural Collection:
The foundation of the atelier.
Offering accessible works of enduring quality,
this collection supports the development of future collaborations
while exploring structure, balance, and form.
Gemstone Series:
An honoring of nature's original narratives.
The Shaman, recognized among humanity's earliest storytellers, serves as an interpreter—guiding attention toward the mysteries of nature and the truths held within human intuition.
The Gemstone Series begins with stone and expands to wearable objects drawn from folk, shamanic, and initiated esoteric traditions.
Selected works may be blessed, consecrated, or otherwise ritually prepared by practitioners according to the traditions from which they emerge.
These objects are considered not solely for aesthetic value, but for the histories, beliefs, rituals, and relationships to the unseen that they embody.
Each collaboration is approached with respect for the mystical discipline from which the work originates and for the practitioner entrusted with its interpretation.
Artist Collaborations:
The Artist Collaborations are the heart of the Atelier. Each is limited and exclusive inviting the contemplation of deeply vulnerable and brave storytelling.
Artists may be of marginalized identities and experiences and we are grateful for their trust and the respect from those who engage with these stories. The Atelier considers its work accomplished by serving as a conduit to connect resonant pieces to their natural collectors. Additionally, we are gratified to be the catalyst of expansive dialogue.
Our collections reflect raw emotion and this is encouraged above consumeristic beauty standards. Artists are selected by compelling voice and demonstrated quality of craftsmanship. The Atelier thoroughly reviews all submitted work and portfolios submitted with the Jules & Gems Artist application.
Each featured storyteller invites the Atelier through their story and process via pre-recorded filming. These videos are then shared in the Storytellers gallery. Exclusive conversation with artists and future collaborators are then explored with partners of The Emerald Circle.
Both the Gemstone Series and Artist Collaborations are documented within the official Jules & Gems Atelier registry, with both digital and printed certification issued upon acquisition.
Artist Invitation:
The atelier seeks voices with clarity of concept,
demonstrated technical discipline,
and a compelling relationship to their work.
Collaboration inquiries:
Inaugural-year collections are reserved exclusively for collaborators from Puerto Rico and its diaspora.
Patronage:
We extend our gratitude to the private patrons and early investors
whose support made the atelier’s first collaborations possible.
Jules & Gems Atelier also extends its gratitude to the Small Business Incubators and Accelerators Program of Puerto Rico (SBIA) for its support and resources during the Atelier’s development.
Those who wish to support the atelier beyond acquisition
are invited to join the Emerald Circle—
a private patron network offering access to artist features,
live experiences, and upcoming works.
The vision of the atelier extends beyond this space
through related projects of depth, connection and meaning which include MyDomBond
and ongoing initiatives within LettGlobal.
